So, for example, if the phone rings and you are like, “Oh, that’s so-and-so. I can’t wait to find out how they are doing.” Then when you pick up, after it rings for a while, of course, and all you do is let the person on the other end do most of the talking as you listen, you are not shy at all. A shy person will be afraid to pick up the phone because they don’t want to make a fool of themselves; they’ll probably let it go to voicemail.
