So, a shy person spends so much time alone because they are hiding from conversations, which leaves them bored and lonely most of the time. On the other hand, an outgoing introvert spends time alone only if they want to because they need to process their emotions, thoughts and re-energize. They are never bored or lonely, even when alone.
If you regularly have an internal monologue active in your mind, keeping you super entertained, so you don’t feel bored or lonely when alone, you are an introvert, not alone because you are shy.
