Drinking too much water can also affect your sleep. During summer it makes sense to get a glass of water before hitting the sack as our bodies get more dehydrated in hot weather. However, in normal weather, this could be harmful because your bladder is put into labor to deal with all the liquids. This forces you to wake up from your sleep. Therefore, you should control the amount of water you consume before bed.

We are not suggesting at all that you should never shower at night. A warm bath in the bathroom is an excellent way to unwind and prepare your body for your bed. Even then, if you randomly bathe right before bed, your body would be baffled; thinking that it’s time to wake up. That’s why you should only shower when the necessity demands. But don’t casually alternate between night and day showers, because your body will only get perplexed. So, having a consistent before-bed-routine will prepare your body to go to bed and improve the quality of your sleep.
