WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF BAD KIDNEYS?

2. Headaches & Feeling Unwell

Kidneys that work properly are responsible for converting Vitamin D in our systems to keep strong bones and yield a hormone known as EPO (erythropoietin) which is essential for blood cell formation. However, when kidneys are not working as expected, they generate lower levels of EPO. This decrease of red blood cell count often leads to quick fatigue of muscles and the nervous system.

Note: Anemia is a common symptom for patients that suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease. It occurs when a patient has lost at least 50% of their kidney function. If you sleep and rest adequately, but still feel tired and unrested, with low energy and a feeling of unwellness, you should go to your doctor without any delays.

3. Having Itchy & Dry Skin

There are several indicators of renal dysfunction and renal stones. The signs of kidney stones in women especially kidney malfunction include dry skin and rash. Developing dry skin patches, itchy or rash in spots near the kidneys and all over the body is an indicator that something’s off. When kidneys don’t work properly, they are unable to regulate the production of nutrients, and your bones, as well as skin, will not get the right doses they need to be healthy. If you suddenly see dry skin patches or red and itchy skin, you should go to the doctor. Also, make sure you drink enough water daily and take all the medication prescribed by your doctor to stop dryness.
